Help Save Lives!

I ran a few marathons for the Leukemia Society's Team in Training about 10 years ago. I was so impressed with the program and the money it raised for Leukemia research and treatment. Little did I know how much this would impact my life in 2008. Don has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia and Lymphoma. He is currently going through chemotherapy treatment. This time around I'm training to participate in the Marine Corps Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training in honor of Don. As we go through Don's treatment process we have been so thankful for the strides that have been made in the treatment of leukemia. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, but of course Don is in the forefront of my mind with every step I run. I now know firsthand the endurance it takes to make it through the extreme discomfort of the treatments and the emotional stamina needed to succeed in the battle against cancer. These people (like Don) are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! Since 1988, more than 360,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $850 million. So one person can and does help!
Please make a tax deductible donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. 75% of every dollar raised goes directly toward leukemia research and patient assistance.
